This monumental portrait of Matthew (Holtzclaw) & Prakash (Puru) aka The Magicians was a portrait begun by Gangloff during her Brooklyn years as evidenced by subject matter and the appearance of the painted floor that appears in a number of works from the period. Matthew and Prakash were part of her circle of creatives and celebrated for their work as magicians and entertainers. Matthew appears here barefoot as a nod to his Southern roots in Appalachia. Work was abandoned with a move to Beacon in 2020 and only recently completed .
