"You Matter" is a series of nine watercolors with screenprint letters collaged onto the pages of a child’s coloring book. The sheets are instructional pages illustrating bodily systems, the letters are cut from a screenprint of a photograph taken with the Hubble telescope meant to suggest millions of years and the compression of time in a single point of light. The work reminds us that we all matter, that we are all cut from the same piece of cloth, that we are all part of a great continuum.
